Obituary for Robert J. Warner, Sr.
Warner, Robert J. Sr. “Bob” –81 of Portage, passed away on February 13, 2022 at home surround by his loving family. He was born on May 17, 1940 in Portage. Bob was the son of Joseph R. and Isabella M. (McCabe) Warner. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Robin Anne Warner and his brother Francis Warner.
Bob is survived by his loving wife: Peggy (Ritchey) Warner of Portage and their children: Stewart Warner and wife Tammy (Baer) of Portage; Marie Parks and husband Anthony Sikora of Portage; Robert Warner, Jr. and wife Lynette (Miller) of Lilly; and Joseph Warner of Sidman. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joshua Parks (Jessica), Jessica Moyer (Nathan), Anthony Sikora-Warner, Jr. (Shaelyn George), Isabella McCabe (Marshall); Emily Sikora-Warner (Jordan Stombaugh), Savannah Sikora-Warner, Brady Warner (Chanel), Jake Warner (Isabella Strosnider), Austin and Wyatt and Great Grandchildren: Dallas, Isabella and Cassidy Miller, Rory Parks, Tristan, Clintan and Koltan Moyer, Maddie and Molly Warner and Luna Dell and Harlow Stombaugh and his uncle: Francis “Bunny” Warner of Portage.
Bob was formerly employed by the Ebensburg Center as a Residential Care Aide. He loved the residents and he treated the children their as if they were his own. He was a former Drummer in various marching and regular bands and he never let his disabilities with his legs stop him. He was a regular for many years on the television on the Sunday morning Polka Party. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he was loved by all who knew him. He was known as the life of the party.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 7 PM, Fr. Thomas Stabile, officiant. Committal will be private to the family.
