Obituary for Ronald L. Sherbine
Sherbine, Ronald L. - 87 of Portage, passed away on July 20, 2022 at home. He was born on March 13, 1935 in Johnstown. Ron was the son of Lawrence and Inez (Johnson) Sherbine. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Bob and John Sherbine and his sister Glenda Diehl.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Nancy L. (Tavernini) Sherbine and their sons: Jeffrey Sherbine and his girlfriend Lori of MD and Stephen Sherbine and his girlfriend Joleen of Portage. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alex and Izabella. He was the brother of Joyce Lynn wife of Don Ruthrauff of CA and Kessy Schade of CA.
Ron was the former owner and operator of Sherbine's Concrete and also was a former mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Ron was an aviation enthusiast and he loved watching the History Channel. He served his Country proudly as an active duty medic in the US Army.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc. in Portage. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage, Fr. Thomas Stabile, Celebrant. Committal will be private to the immediate family.
