Obituary for Rose M. (Chappell) Kinback
88 of Martindale, Portage Township, passed away on June 5, 2021 in Portage. She was born on August 27, 1932 in Martindale. Rose was the daughter of Helen (Kalinoski) and John Chappell. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas “Tom” Kinback, her son: Mark Kinback and her siblings: Leonard “Len”, Louis, Audren and Robert Chappell and Pearl Harlow. Rose is survived by her sister: Ruth Morrow of Michigan and her brother: William Chappell and his wife Karen of Holidaysburg and her sisters-in-law: Joanne Chappell of Wisconsin, Mildred Chappell of Portage and Marlene Chappell of Texas. She is also survived by her loving niece: Alyssa Chappell of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose loved her faithful canine companion Lola and she enjoyed sitting on the porch with her at home in Martindale and visiting with family and friends. Known to many as Aunt Rosie, her house was always open and she was welcoming to all. Everyone Rosie met was treated like family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc in Portage, where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11 AM, Pastor Timothy Dietrich, officiant.
