McMullen, RoseAnn – 75 of Johnstown, died September 14, 2023 at Richland Woods in Johnstown surrounded by her sister and brother-in-law. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth “Betty” (Mulhern) McMullen. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul McMullen.
RoseAnn is survived by her sister, Josie married to Charlie Kostan of Portage. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, great nephews, great nieces a great great nephew, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins and friends.
RoseAnn was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was employed as a Speech and Language Therapist by Intermediate Unit 8 and later by the Greater Johnstown School District. She enjoyed the outdoors, shopping Johnstown’s farmers market (when the weather and her health permitted), her Saturday morning breakfast group, family gatherings (especially Christmas) and viewing nature from her front porch while remaining always grateful for her faith, family and friends. “There may not be a silver lining, but I can always find a silver thread,” exemplified RoseAnn’s attitude about life.
At RoseAnn’s request there will be no viewing. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, Portage, at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, Fr. Thomas Stabile, Celebrant. Inurnment in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Cresson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martha and Mary House, 899 Bedford Street, Johnstown 15902 and/or the Johnstown Family Kitchen, 231 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15901.
