Obituary for Ruth M. Seabolt
Ruth M. (Richardson) Seabolt, 90, Portage, died peacefully on May 23, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Born September 24, 1933 in Portage. Ruth was the daughter of Raymond and Hilda (Hufford) Boley. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Hilda Cadwallader; sisters: Esther Hatfield, Charlotte Chrisko and Delores Boley; and brothers: Paul Boley and Paul Miterko.
Ruth is survived by husband, Lowell (Gus) Seabolt, daughter, Mary Ann Seabolt; granddaughters: Jessica Buck,(Gary Buck), and Kimberly Follis (Matt Mellott): great grandchildren: Cooper, Haleigh, and Josie; son-in-law: Brian Cadwallader; sister Rose James, brother Don Boley (Edith Boley), sister-in-law: Connie Boley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a member of St Bartholomew Church, Wilmore. Throughout the years, she was employed at Sylvania Electronics, Slinky Factory, and Niagara Plastics. She enjoyed cooking and watching her Westerns, especially Gunsmoke and John Wayne movies. But most important to her was spending as much time as possible with her family. The Family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Grane Hospice for helping us through such a difficult time.
The Family will receive friends on Sunday May 26th, 2024 from 3PM – 5PM at Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc., Portage. Mass will be held on Monday, May 27th, 2024 at 11AM at St Bartholomew Church, Wilmore with Fr Joseph Nale and Deacon Rick Golden, celebrants. Committal will be after Mass at St Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
