Obituary for Siegfried D. Ziegler
Siegfried was born in Germany and moved to the United States in 1955 with his parents, Hermann and Helene Ziegler, along with his 7 siblings, Gerhard, Edeltraut, Irmgard, Rudy, Monika, Rosemary and Giesla. He was the father to 3 sons, Bill (Kim) Ziegler of Chetek, WI; Brian (Jodi) Ziegler of Oregon, IL; Brad (Kristina) Ziegler of Sycamore, IL; and step-father to Cheron (Kent) Adkins of Ft Myers, FL. He was a grandfather to 8 grandchildren - Austin, Trent, Luke, Jake, Molly, Oraya, Jessica and Emily and also a great-grandfather to 6 - Andrew, Natalie, Oliver, Max, Jamieson and Aaron. During his lifetime, Siegfried was known as a man of many talents. He worked as a tool & die maker, a butcher, an apartment building owner and manager, and the owner of a bingo hall, which he loved to play. Siegfried is survived by his wife, Kimberly and his mother-in-law: Dreama Latherow both of Portage, PA, his brother-in-law: Chris Latherow of Cape Coral, FL, his step-daughter: Stephanie Horton of North Fort Myers, FL, his siblings, children, grand and great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and previous wives, Patricia of Sycamore, IL and Phyllis (PJ) of Ft Myers, FL. He will be missed by his family, friends and loved ones. Interment will be at Ft Myers Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2 PM.
