Obituary for Theodore F. Wodoslawsky
Wodoslawsky, Theodore “Ted” – 87 of Portage, passed away on December 14, 2018 at home. He was born on July 28, 1931 in Oil City, (Cassandra),PA. He was the son of Frank and Anna Wodoslawsky.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Alice (Stupi) Wodoslawsky, brothers: John, Bill, Mike, Laddie and sister: Helen.
He is survived by his loving children: Alice wife of Richard Michaels, Ted Wodoslawsky and wife Lorraine, Kathy wife of Rick Hazlett, and Tim Wodoslawsky and wife Teresa. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Heidi Murphy, Mandi Ronan, Ricky Hazlett, Adam Michaels, Michael Hazlett, Leah Bernhofer, Justin Hazlett, Ava, Story and Valena Wodoslawsky; 9 great grandchildren: Mason Ronan, Madeline and Trenten Murphy, Reagan Ronan, Elias Hazlett, Simon Hazlett, Mia Michaels, Sophia Michaels and Aela Hazlett, a sister: Mary Jane Wodoslawsky, and extended family members: Ellen Gonchar and her son Kyle, Bonnie and Michael Shevock, and Linda Kruse.
Ted served his Country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He carried on his mother’s and father’s traditions of gardening and canning for his family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM on Tuesday, December 18th at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage, where Parastas will be sung that evening at 8 PM. Divine Liturgy will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 19th at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Portage, Fr. James Spontak, celebrant. Interment in Ss. Peter & Paul Church Cemetery in Summerhill. Graveside Military Rites by the Portage Ritual Team.
