Obituary for Veronica "Carol" Halovich
Veronica “Carol” Halovich, 73, of Kiantone passed away Thursday (Jan. 3, 2019) at the home of her daughter, Deborah Everetts. She was born Dec. 22, 1945, in Portage, Pa., the daughter of William and Leona Madigan Passick.
Before retiring, she had been employed for many years at Truck-Lite, where she served as union president. Carol was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Frewsburg.
She enjoyed her family, going to Salamanca bingo, and singing to her dogs.
Carol is survived by four children: Deborah (Troy) Everetts of Ellington, Dianne Cameron of Middleboro, Mass., Joseph Halovich Jr. of Buffalo and Steve (Amanda) Halovich of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Alicia, Olivia, Tristan, Trenton, Madison and Taylor, a great-granddaughter, Rowan; two brothers: William Passick of Fayetteville, N.C. and Martin Passick of Portage, Pa.; and a sister-in-law, Louise Halovich of Portage, Pa.
Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Halovich Sr.; and two sisters: Thelma and Mary Jean.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage, Fr. Thomas Stabile, Celebrant. Inurnment in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Summerhill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
