Obituary for Vivian A. Kunko
Kunko, Vivian A. (Davis) - 86 of Portage, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on September 23, 2018 in Portage. She was born on August 7, 1932 in Portage. Vivian was the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Stella (Inman) Davis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Thomas J. Kunko, Sr. and her brother Joseph Davis, Jr.

Vivian is survived by her loving children: Judy wife of Jack Williams of Portage; Bob Kunko and wife Jackie (Pfeilstucker) of Portage; Tom Kunko, Jr. and wife Karen (Twiggs) of Portage; Kathy Petryshak and companion Dave Bookhamer of Lilly; Joan wife of Bill Shearman of Carrolltown, Mike Kunko and wife Wendi (Hazlett) of Portage; Pat Kunko and wife Robyn (Hollowniczky) of Portage and Vivian wife of Jeff Herman of Portage. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Dr. Jessica Williams, Sarah (Williams) Morgan and husband Andrew, Matthew Kunko and wife Adrianna, Candi (Kunko) Kennedy and husband Mark, Krystle Kunko, Breanna Kunko, Jamie (Petryshak) Hampton and husband Doug, Leah (Bogus) Bender and husband Roman, Cody Bogus, Emily Kunko and Kelsey and Kendra Kunko and Ben and Max Herman and 4 great grandchildren: Ty and Tayla Kennedy and Madison Heidler and Brennan Kunko and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Vivian is the sister of Ronald “RD” Davis and wife Shirley (Sossong) of Portage. She is also survived by a special sister-in-law: Alice Kunko of Portage. Vivian was a graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College. Her favorite occupation was clerical work at the Cresson Sanatorium. She was a former seamstress and she loved to crochet. She took lessons, and enjoyed Ballroom Dancing for many years. Most importantly Vivian was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family was important to Vivian and her husband Tom. Together they raised 8 loving children.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage. Fr. Thomas Stabile, Celebrant. Interment in St. Bartholomew Church Cemetery in Wilmore.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Vivian’s name to the Portage Public Library and/or the Portage Area Joint Recreation Committee.
