Montague, Walter H. - 75 of Portage. Passed away September 27, 2013 in State College. Born December 25, 1937 in Canada. The son of Arthur S. and Esther J. Holschuh. Preceded in death by parents, sister Ethel, brothers David and Clifford and infant siblings. Survived by loving wife Patricia "Pat" (Sybert) Montague and Sons: Matthew Montague and wife Rana (Ross) of Summerhill and Ryan Montague of Portage and Grandchildren: Drew, Dylon and Jared. Also survived by siblings: Cora, Frances, Ida, Helen and Gordon and brothers-in-law: Don, Ray, Jerry and Jim Sybert. Walter had a reputation as a cowboy for his younger days of working on a ranch in Canada. He was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church where he served as an elder. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Monday and 1 hr prior to the service on Tuesday from 1 to 2 PM at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Portage, where Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, on Tuesday. Committal in St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Wilmore. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Walters name to the Mount Olive United Methodist Church, 599 Fairview Avenue, Sidman, PA 15955.
