Obituary for Junior Baith
Baith, Walter J. “Junior” – 84 of Portage, passed away on October 18, 2023 at home. He was born on September 13, 1939 in Portage. Junior was the son of Catherine (Karduck) and Walter Baith, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judy (Weamer) Baith, his daughter: Sharon “Shari” Baith and his brother Martin Baith.
He is survived by his daughters: Jacquie White and Heather Baith and Jake Shingler, all of Portage. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Carly Costo and Keith Lutz of Windber, Sam Costo and Alisha Secriskey of Portage, Brandon White and his wife Tara of Elton, and Timara Kopp and her husband Mark of Altoona and great grandchildren: Adara and Rozlynn.
Junior was the brother of John Baith and his wife Lorraine of Portage and Janice Coffee and her husband Larry of Lilly.
He was formerly employed as a coal miner. In the past, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. He was a fan of American race car driver Richard Petty. The Baith Family will receive friends from 3 PM until time of 6 PM Service on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Entombment Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
