Obituary for William G."Bill" Miller
“Bill” – 81 of Portage, passed away on April 25, 2021 at home. He was born on October 11, 1939 in Pittsburgh. He was the son of Marlin M. and Florence G. (Hindman) Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter: Hirona and his siblings: Ralph, Donald, Mildred, Edith, Inez, Helen, Lois and Gladys.
Bill is survived by his wife: Judy A. (Michael) Miller of Portage and his sons: William Miller, Jr. of Portage and Marlin D. Miller and wife Mary of Snow Shoe, PA. He is also survived by his granddaughters: Judy wife of Hironobu Miller of Toyko, Japan and Lisako Miller of Nagaski, Japan; a great grandson: Shohei and a great granddaughter: Naomi. Bill is also survived by his brother: Richard Miller and wife Sharon of Bell Vernon, a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired employee from Bethlehem Steel and the Holidaysburg Veterans Home.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 29th at 1st Lutheran Church in Portage from 9 AM until time of service at 11 AM. Pastor Mark W. Fischer, officiant. Due to Covid-19, social distancing and masks are mandatory at 1st Lutheran Church. Committal in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Johnstown. Military Rites by the Portage Ritual Team.
