Obituary for Justin Thomas Elchin
Justin T. – 33 of Jamestown, Portage Township, passed away on January 12, 2017 at home. He was born on November 3, 1983 in Johnstown. The son of Charles and Mary Louise (Girard) Elchin.
He is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather: Michael Girard, maternal grandparents: Chris and Anne McCarthy and paternal grandparents: Steve and Anna Elchin, cousins: Bryan Mihalick and Chad Elchin, Uncles: Tom Johnson and Chris McCarthy and Aunt Patricia Adams.
He is survived by his mother: Mary Louise of Jamestown, his brothers: Jason Elchin and wife Dawn (Sarver) of Johnstown and Matthew Elchin and wife Becky (Matthews) of Armagh. He is also survived by his nephews: Ben, Chase, and Noah Elchin and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Justin was a graduate of Portage Area High School Class of 2003 and he attended Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center, where he obtained heavy machinery certification.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Sunday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 509 Caldwell Avenue in Portage. Committal will be private to the family.
