Obituary for Betty J. Patas
Patas, Betty J. – 62 of Portage, passed away on May 2, 2021 in Windber. She was born on May 20, 1958 in Johnstown. Betty was the daughter of John and Rose (Greico) Patas. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and a sister Martha Zurenda.
Betty is survived by her son: Michael Gregory of MD and her grandchildren: Briana, Corey and Lauren. She is also survived by special family and friends: Jo Beth Mandichak of Ebensburg, Joseph and Betty Mandichak of Portage and Bill Koshute of Windber.
She is the sister John Patas, Barbara College, Robert Patas and Mary Ann Gaydosh.
At Betty’s request graveside services will be private to her family and close friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Windber Hospice for the care and compassion that they gave to Betty, especially Jamie, Melanie, Sara Jo.
