Obituary for Deborah K. (Plummer) Semanchik
Semanchik, Deborah K. (Plummer) – 61 of Portage, passed away on August 31, 2021 in Johnstown after a long battle with dementia. She was born on August 17, 1960 in Johnstown. Deb was the daughter of Victor and Faith “Greta” (Thomas) Plummer. She is preceded in death her parents, her infant son: Justin and her brother: Victor Plummer, Sr. Deb is survived by her loving husband of 43 years: Joseph Semanchik, and their daughters: Nikki Burley of Martinsburg, Jo-Leigh Semanchik and Tiffany Sciko (Scott) of Cresson. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Aspen (Golden) Shirey (Trae), Madison Burley, Halie Kearney, Mason, Maverick and Emmett Sciko, her great grandchildren: Zayden and Dagin Shirey and her close friends: Roseanne Signorino, Barbara Sigado, Diane Burger and all of her dog buddies at the park. Deb was the sister of Thomas Plummer (Mel) of OR and Dave Plummer (Denise) of Martindale. Deb enjoyed the great outdoors. She was an avid hunter and fisherman. She made many turkey calls and walking sticks for friends and fellow outdoorsman throughout the years. At Deb’s request there will be no viewing or visitation. The funeral service will be private. Memorial contribution may be made in Deb’s name to the Alzheimer Association. The Family would like to thank all of the special angels at Conemaugh Hospital and God Sam who took care of Deb.
