Obituary for George F. Chappell
Chappell, George F. – 81 of Portage, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022 comforted by loved ones. He was born on July 2, 1941 in Johnstown. He was the son of George W. and Elinor J. (Iannone) Chappell. George is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife I. Kandy (Lydic) Chappell of Sidman, and daughter, Nikki Chappell currently residing in West Virginia. He is also survived by his brothers: Denton “Denny” Chappell of Columbus, OH and Daryl “Bruce” Chappell of Aurora, CO. George was a US Army National Guardsman. He was retired from Penn Dot District 9 Engineering Office in Hollidaysburg, PA.
