Obituary for Carol L. McCarty
Our beloved mother, Carol “Boots” McCarty, 80 of Lilly, passed away at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center on January 4, 2023. Carol was born on October 19, 1942, daughter of Francis and Helen Risban of Gallitzin.
She was married to the late Patrick “Pat” McCarty. Carol had 6 children: Peggy and husband, Chris Conrad of Lilly, John and Mary Lou of Cresson, Janet and husband, Don Franey of Lilly, Denise and husband, Jeff Miller of Ashville, Pat and wife Kelly (Maul) of Portage and Joanna and Dustin of Altoona; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jack, Jim and Gene Risban. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Carol enjoyed spending quality time with all her family.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church in Lilly, Fr. Matthew Reese, Celebrant.
