Obituary for Kevin Y. Houghton
Houghton, Kevin Y. - 55 of Windber, passed away August 31, 2023. He was born May 7, 1968 in Johnstown. Kevin was the son of Betty Lou (Bush) and Dennis Houghton. He is preceded in death by his mother, his paternal grandparents: James Sr. and Helen Houghton, his maternal grandparents: Grover and Wilda Bush and his father-in-law: Willis Weaver.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife: Holly (Weaver) Houghton of Windber, his father: Dennis Houghton of Sidman, daughter: Lindsey Houghton and her companion, Corey Chappell of Ebensburg and stepsons: Joshua Nagy and his wife Tiffany (Davis) and Gregory Nagy and his wife Crystal (Pulliam) all of Windber, his grandsons: Caleb Gill of Ebensburg, Kadyn and Devyn Nagy of Windber and his granddaughter: Scarlett Nagy of Windber. Kevin is also survived by his brother: Brad Houghton and his wife Connie (Churilla) of South Fork, nephew: Garrett Houghton of South Fork and mother-in-law: Patricia Weaver of Windber.
Kevin was a 1986 graduate of Forest Hills High School. He was the owner of Foxs in Wilmore for over 30 years, where he enjoyed serving his customers and a good conversation. He liked hunting, fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. Most important to Kevin was spending time with his family, especially his wife and his grandson Caleb.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Committal will be held in Dunmyer Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.decortfh.com
