Obituary for William R. Miller, Jr.
Miller, William Russell Jr. “Bill” 62 of Portage, passed away at home November 6, 2023 after a long battle with COPD and shorter one with lung cancer. He was born on April 22, 1961 in Indiana, PA. Bill was the son of Delores M. (Stumbaugh) and William R. Miller, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Ellen, his Grandma, Mary and his mother-in-law, Dr. Heide Sedwick, OFS. Bill is survived by his wife: Kim (Wightman) Miller of Portage and his cat, Henry. He was a U.S. Army Combat Engineer Veteran. Bill was formerly employed as a packer by Warnaco. He was a member of the Portage Area Sportsmans Association. He enjoyed baking, fishing, making whirligigs and helping out his many friends.
At Bill’s request there will be no viewing and visitation. A private prayer service will be followed by committal at Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to the Portage Area Sportsmans Association and or the Portage Public Library. Online condolences may be made at www.decortfh.com
